Membership Fees

This page has a list of the advantages of joining our band of rocketry fanatics.

Membership Fees

Club membership is an annual fee and it covers both local clubs. It will cover 12 months. This will allow you to launch at our lower member launch fees for one year. You will also be able to vote in the annual elections for club leadership for the club(s) of which you are a national member. So to vote for ROSCO leadership, you must be a NAR member and to vote for ICBM leadership, you must be a TRA member. You do not need to be a member of a national club to launch low power, but once you venture into high power, you will need to be a member of NAR or TRA. Currently, you will have to join on the field.

Membership to Rocketry South Carolina is open to all adults, families, and children who are interested in the hobby and/or science of rockets. We are a family oriented club that encourages activities in all aspects of the hobby. Our members include people who have been flying rockets for less than a year and more than 60. We enjoy low power to high power rockets and everything in between. Rocketry South Carolina is the club for you if you want to: re-live your childhood and fly those classic Estes models again, go big and fly N powered monsters, learn about using the latest electronics for deployment and tracking, all while flying with a family friendly group!

Benefits of Rocketry South Carolina membership include:

  • Access to club launch weekends with lower flight / launch fees.
  • Fly with our equipment to include pads to support rockets using 1/2A to N motors and a wireless 64 pad electronic launch controller.
  • Access to the experience and advice of fellow club members. Mentorship and passing on the knowledge is what we live to do.
  • Opportunity to give back by mentoring others. We host schools and youth groups to continue the hobby.
  • Membership card is a name badge to wear at every launch (work in progress).

Note that you can only vote in club elections of the national organization(s) in which you are a member.
